Tasting Notes
10 year Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Smooth and sweet with a complex and lingering mid-palate range of nutty vanilla, honey, tobacco and smoke. A very nice finish.
8 year Straight Rye Whiskey
Black tea, honey, baking spices and mint. Dry, Grassy and Slightly Spicy with some residual sweetness. Delicious!
Colorado Spiced Whiskey
The nose is fragrant and floral with a load of citrus as well as cinnamon and a bit of clove. It is smooth, sweet, and on the palate, you can truly taste the Spiced characteristics of this wonderful Sippin Whiskey. Watch as water or ice creates the famed "Louche" process, during which the essential oils are liberated from the mixture and seen for the first time by the naked eye. This whiskey will have a natural sediment that occurs during the blending process. We do not filter this out since it is what helps to create the layers of flavor in the product. Most distilleries will use a chill-filtering process to remove this haze, but unfortunately this also removes flavor. We prefer the flavor and hope you will do the same.
Heirloom Grain Vodka
This is a High Malt Vodka that is Distilled in Eagle, Colorado. Tastes great neat but will also stand out in any cocktail. Slightly sweet due to the high malt character, and finishes very smooth/ balanced with a lingering mouthfeel.
New American Gin
Our Gin contains a total of 23 different botanicals and is more of a New American style. Very floral/botanical but with a full range of subtle notes that play off one another from start to finish. Chamomile, Spearmint, Elderflower, Lavender, Lemongrass, Verbena and a bit of Lemon Balm on the nose. We do use wild foraged Osha root, which is native only to the Rocky Mountains and Northern Mexico. Osha is also known as “Bear Root” and has been used for centuries by Native Americans as an herbal remedy for a variety of medical ailments. We also feature Cardamon, Cassia, Angelica, and Elderberry (among others) in this lovely well rounded Gin. We could technically call it a London Dry since it fits the parameters, (it is distilled in one run with no added flavors after distillation, and it is bottled at 86.2 proof). It has a very floral nose, and a beautiful body which has a pleasant oily texture from the citrus botanicals. There is a slight pepper mid palate from Grains of Paradise and finishes dry without being tannic.
